What are Emsculpt and Emsculpt NEO®?

Advanced Body Contouring Delivered

Emsculpt and Emsculpt NEO® are FDA-cleared body contouring systems made by BTL, a worldwide leader in non-invasive cosmetic treatment technology. Emsculpt utilizes high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to induce rapid contractions in the muscles targeted by the treatment. While a traditional workout will allow for a few hundred contraction cycles, Emsculpt delivers more than 10,000 in just one session.

Emsculpt NEO® is a more advanced version of Emsculpt that adds radiofrequency (RF) energy to the process. RF is used to also break down fat deposits, enhancing the strengthening and toning effects provided by HIFEM — building and toning muscle by as much as 25% and simultaneously reducing fat by up to 30%.

Am I a candidate for Emsculpt?

If you’re looking for a non-invasive way to enhance and tone your muscles, Emsculpt may be the answer for you.

Most patients who are in good health overall are ideal candidates. During your consultation, we will assess your skin condition — health, quality, and laxity — to help you understand if Emsculpt can provide the results you have in mind. While the Emsculpt procedure is very safe, it is not recommended for people who are pregnant or have certain chronic medical conditions, so be sure to talk to your provider about your complete medical history.

As with any elective medical procedure, we recommend that you talk with your primary care physician before undergoing any Emsculpt treatments.

Your Emsculpt Procedure

Workout While Relaxing

Emsculpt is typically provided in a series of 30-minute sessions. The number of sessions recommended in your treatment plan will be based on your desired results.

Once you are relaxing comfortably in one of our peaceful treatment rooms, your technician will apply the appropriate applicator to the targeted area. The applicator comes in three versions — large, small, and chair — each designed to target different areas of the body. The device is then activated, and you are left to relax as the system works.

The procedure generally feels similar to an intense workout in the targeted muscles, while the rest of your body remains relaxed and calm.

What will my recovery entail?

No Downtime Required

There is no downtime associated with an Emsculpt treatment. Patients are generally able to resume their daily routines immediately after their session.

While rare, some people experience mild swelling, discoloration, or tenderness after their procedures, but these effects tend to last only a few hours at most.

Typically, a minimum of four sessions is recommended to achieve the ideal results. These treatments are generally scheduled two or three days apart and are scheduled in advance of your first session, so you know exactly what to expect.

Emsculpt Results

Immediate and Lasting Results

Many patients begin to see results following their initial session. Generally, this looks like a noticeable improvement in tone and firmness in the treated area. Final results will develop in the weeks after your final Emsculpt session.

The duration of results will vary depending on lifestyle, genetics, and other factors. Follow-up or maintenance treatments may be recommended to extend the life of your results.

“I'm terrible at self care and this year I said to myself, it's time to love yourself more, do the things you can to feel better about your skin, your mind and body! I found Total Glow through yelp, checked their website out and then decided to try it out. I had initially scheduled an appointment with someone (don't recall her name) but ended up with Jennifer Vitug. I'm glad it happened because she is extremely awesome! Super friendly, professional and caring. I say caring because you can see how passionate she is about skincare and wellness. She is very knowledgeable about the products and is clear about every step of the process. If you are looking to try a new place for a wonderful facial, go here and try Jennifer. The ambiance is also very modern and peaceful.” – R.P.
