What are Chemical Peels?

The Cool Peel technology was developed by the Environ skincare line to bring a revolutionary new non-invasive approach to market, replacing the traditional chemical peel. Most chemical peels are formulated with Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid or Trichloroacetic Acid, and work by untethering the outermost layer of damaged skin from the face so that when it is peeled away, it reveals a more youthful, pristine complexion. Old skin cells are discarded, and a healthier glow emerges. Superficial chemical peels generally have little downtime and are used for treating sun damage and fine lines, while deeper chemical peels are often used for acne.

Unlike traditional peels, which destroy and strip the skin, Cool Peel uses a special low pH formulation, preserving the epidermis as much as possible, and making the Cool Peel comfortable and cool when applied.
