FAQs about Dermal Fillers
How does it work?
Fillers/Injectables are made up of natural acids, synthetic acids, and calcium. They are injected into select facial lines to add volume, correct contours, and minimize wrinkles. Fillers can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years depending on the Filler you chose.
What are the different Fillers?
Juvederm® is a delicate filler perfect for accomplishing the subtle, natural-looking results most clients desire. It helps age-proof the entire mouth area, one of the first parts of the face to show signs of aging.
Voluma® is the first filler formulated with FDA approved lidocaine to restore age-related volume changes in the cheeks. Unlike other fillers commonly used to treat the midface, Voluma is a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler. HA fillers are made from long chains of sugars that occur naturally in the skin. Voluma uniquely cross-links HA through a process called Vycross, helping to provide an excellent lifted look. This special cross-linking also helps to avoid degradation, making Voluma last almost twice as long as other fillers--sometimes up to 2 years!
Volbella® is a Hyaluronic Acid filler just like Juvederm and Voluma, but its unique properties make it ideal in treating both the fine lines around your mouth as well as bringing natural fullness to the lips. Volbella is an ultra-smooth gel, delivering a natural look and feel to the lip area without swelling.
Vollure® is a Hyaluronic Acid filler that reduces the appearance of more severe facial folds and lines around the mouth and nose (many times called parentheses). Vollure® produces subtle and long-lasting results for up to 18 months.
What can I expect during the treatment?
Getting fillers is super simple. They are injected into the targeted area beneath the skin using a small needle. You may experience some swelling or minor bruising, but it’ll fade within a few days. Fillers can last from 6 months to several years!
What are the results?
Fillers are designed to effectively reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, contour the face, increase volume, and plump your lips. You will see an immediate youthful fullness in area injected.
Is it safe?
Fillers are completely safe! There is no downtime at all, and you can resume your normal day right away. You'll likely experience some swelling or a little bit of bruising, but it should fade within a few days.
